- An idea of which loads must never lose power
Common questions
Will it start my generator automatically?
If your generator has an auto-start controller, yes. If not, the switch still transfers automatically once the generator is running.
How fast is the transfer?
Fast enough that most appliances do not notice. Equipment that cannot tolerate any gap should sit behind the inverter.
Can I still switch manually?
Yes, there is a manual override for maintenance and testing.
Does it protect against back-feeding the generator?
Yes, the switch is interlocked so two sources can never connect at once.
Can you add this to an existing installation?
In most cases yes, at the distribution board, without rewiring the building.
